BKA Architecture has worked in collaboration with Byron Shire Council to repurpose the Old Byron Bay Hospital site into a Community Hub. With DA approval, the future tenants will be an interdisciplinary mix of social, community and Indigenous groups. The development will also house the local university.

With projecting bays of deep red, the gallery emerges as a sculpture in the landscape, both a contemporary icon and a homage to Australian natural and cultural history.

The new Singleton Arts and Cultural Centre promotes creative activities in the Hunter Valley, providing space for local art shows and international exhibitions.
