DA Approval for Adaptive Reuse Hotel Project on George Street, Haymarket

City of Sydney Council has approved BKA’s DA submission for a new 14-storey, 174-suite hotel at 763 George Street, Haymarket. Overlooking one of Sydney’s busiest streets, the project will see the adaptive reuse and expansion of the heritage-listed former premises of the Sutton Forest Meat Company. In preparing the submission BKA was guided by best practice urban design and heritage principles and took great care to develop a proposal that both respects the historic fabric of its context and makes a striking, modern contribution to the George Street streetscape. We look forward to progressing the project further in coming months. BKA has a strong track record within both the hospitality and heritage design sectors.
