New BIM Capabilities for BKA

As our practice continues to expand, we are excited to introduce BIM to the BKA software suite and workflow practices. Our newly BIM-enabled CAD software enables team members to use real-time, dynamic modelling in 3D, 4D (workflow) and, increasingly, 5D (quantity surveying) modes to increase productivity and efficiency, save costs during the design and construction stages, and reduce operational costs. The integration of BIM into our practice has enabled us to share data-rich models across disciplines, allowing streamlined design and delivery and seamless communication across our offices and with clients.

Our in-house ‘BIM team’ is actively developing our CAD systems in BIM and holding in-house BIM seminars to ensure that we make the most of this exciting technology. We view BIM as a tool that adds to our established skillset by integrating sketches, physical models, and other output, all of which is quickly realised in BIM’s digital realm, where it can be used to monitor the operational costs and enable efficient buildings.
