Waverley Early Learning and Childcare Centre

This 56-place early education centre in Bondi Junction takes a fresh approach to meeting the developmental needs of children aged 5 and under. The design approach was strongly informed by a ‘child’s eye’ perspective, which also guided decisions regarding colour, scale, sill heights, and spatial experience. The resulting multi-level facility – which features an outdoor kitchen garden, indoor and outdoor learning spaces, and a cafe – is warm and inviting, and incorporates green design principles including natural ventilation and solar hot water.
