BKA has designed a 65 room boarding house that is located on an amalgamated site, occupying two street frontages to the North and East. The design enhances a “U” shape plan where outer edges address the streets, whilst internal courtyards allow privacy from neighbours. The luxury micro-apartments include integrated energy systems, high end finishes and clean design solutions. This boarding house is a contemporary piece of architecture which uses traditional materials and techniques to create a visually exciting yet respectful addition to the area.
