Ground Breaking Ceremony at Shellharbour Boathouse

Last week Founding Director John Baker, Sydney Principal Alyce Thompson and Senior Project Architect Valentina Kusova joined Shellharbour City Council officials and Hutchinson Builders representatives to celebrate the breaking ground ceremony at the Shellharbour Boathouse. 

Joining this project at the end of 2024, the BKA team have worked collaboratively with Council to deliver a design which will further the Boathouse’s mission of bringing more tourism to the area with the boathouse offering an indoor Dry Boat Storage area for up to 120 boats, workshops, retail, office space and recreational facilities. 

With a total project value in excess of $30 Million and construction set to be complete by mid 2027, the BKA team is excited to see this precinct come to life.
